Emerging from the underground house scene with a sense of urgency, Niko Boggs is quickly becoming the next big act in electronic music. On Friday, November 18, the Armenian- American producer linked up with the infamous Dirty Bird Records for his first official release titled Modular Funk.
Filled with groovy baselines and funkadelic soundscapes, Nikko showcases his creativity as a producer across the vibrant 6-minute house anthem.
“ Modular Funk came about with me messing around with some trippy loops that I made with my modular synth. I chopped them up and laid them over some percussive elements and a hypnotic bassline that I had programmed. I decided to call it Modular Funk because even though the track was pretty percussive and dark, the modular bleeps and bloops that swoop in and out of the track add a weird/funky contrast to the overall vibe.” The rising DJ explained.
