It’s time to get your groove on because disco is officially back! Thanks to artists like Ish D, those nostalgic funky sounds of the 70s are more prevalent than ever, and his latest track, Just Keep Loving Me, proves disco is here to stay.
Released on Wednesday, February 22, Just Keep Loving Me fuses funkadelic basslines and soulful melodies for a dance-heavy, post-disco anthem, you can’t help but move your feet to. Sampling the Whispers’ 1979 hit Keep On Lovin’ Me, the former LA hip-hop producer turned dance connoisseur aims to reinvent the sounds of the old school and create a safe, inviting space on the dance floor for black and brown youth.
“My whole approach when making dance music, and house music specifically, is making sure the culture and the bounce are forever intact, continuing to make the black and brown youth dance,” Ish D explained.
