Gettin’ down with that spooky sound, Claude VonStroke has unleashed a spine-chilling new single just in time for Halloween with The Creeps. Released today, October 20, through his label Dirtybird, The Creeps takes us on a frightening journey through spellbinding melodies and haunting soundscapes. From the ghoulish vocals to the dark doses of rhythm spread throughout Vonstrokes’ latest sonic endeavor is eerily captivating.
“A good horror film is very difficult to make because it has to be scary enough to make your skin crawl but fun enough so you can enjoy grabbing your partner’s arm during a jump scare,” VonStroke explained. “I decided to go for it and make a track just for Halloween based on the concept that a guy takes drugs and cannot figure out if he is in reality or a horror film. It’s a precarious balance between cheesy and creepy, but that’s the entire fun of Halloween, isn’t it?”
But that’s not all! In addition to The Creeps, VonStroke has tapped two of Dirtybird’s rising stars to, Steve Darko and Mike Kerrigan, to remix his Halloween house anthem.
