IO Music Academy, a school dedicated solely to music production, has announced a new scholarship in partnership with the There Is A Light (TIAL) Foundation. With a mission to educate the next generation of aspiring producers, IO Music Academy plans to award 20 scholarships totaling $70,000 worth of courses and more in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The scholarship is open to a wide range of producers, from beginners to seasoned artists, and ten spots will be available in each of the two locations.
IO Music Academy Scholarship winners earn a placement into one of IO’s 6-month music production programs.
Winning applicants will earn a placement in one of IO’s 6-month music production programs beginning in the spring of 2024, valued at $3,500. Students will also receive monthly one-on-one mentorship sessions with IO Music Academy team members, as well as access to state-of-the-art studios and weekly specialized workshops with established artists and industry professionals.

Scholarship applicant requirements
Applicants must live in Los Angeles or San Francisco and be able to attend weekly classes, monthly private lessons, and studio time in person. Applications are due by January 1st, 2024, with winners set to be announced on January 9th. Classes begin the week of January 15th for students at the Los Angeles campus and in Spring 2024 for students at the new San Francisco location.
