The rising LA producer, Kruei has joined forces with Veil’s label Street Ritual to deliver her latest EP, Divinity. Released today, February 22 (2/22), Divinity is a captivating sonic experience designed to realign your intuition and connection with the universe. Spanning across three tracks, Kurei blends everything from dreamy soundscapes to multicolored melodies, and hypnotic drops of bass for an emotion-fueled journey like no other. Harnessing the pain of a recent breakup, she ventures into the abyss only to illuminate the darkness with healing frequencies and deep vibrations.
“I made this EP in a really dark time in my life; I had just gone through a breakup with my long-term partner of 4 years; I felt so alone and so lost at the time. Through all the pain, heartbreak, and sadness, there was a moment of clarity where I knew I had to keep going for myself; I couldn’t give up. I used this as a time to reset my life focus in on my music and career and really re-align my goals and ambitions.” Kurei explained.“This EP was what was created in that process. It captures all of the emotions and feelings from this experience and my newfound drive to keep going for me. I took the breakup as a sign of divine timing to allow space in my life to focus on what mattered most, which was my music and my friends. It is about taking something so painful and heavy and turning it into something beautiful. It’s about not giving up on yourself and finding the light within the darkness. “
