STS9, one of the most revolutionary bands in the scope of electronic music, has delivered yet another immersive journey into sound with their latest live album, Chromalight. Released on Friday, July 12, Chromalight features 14 brand new tracks that were debuted and recorded at the band’s 2023 performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Exploring the universal harmony between light and sound, the record is filled with trance-inducing frequencies, mind-expanding melodies, and psychedelic jams that transcend both space and time. From the intergalactic chords of Reveal Intro to the kaleidoscopic elements of Habitat and the otherworldly resonance of Human Dream, Chromalight will not only take you on a mesmerizing auditory adventure but will have you hearing colors and seeing sounds.
“The multi-sensory production set out to explore the connection between sound and light, the colors we associate with musical notes and scales, and how we can tap into the power of the harmony between them to create an intentional and immersive live spectacle. This is the complete audio recording of the first-ever live performance of STS9’s “Chromalight.” STS9 explained.
Alongside the release, the iconic band announced a nationwide tour where they’ll showcase their mind-bending audiovisual experience. Kicking things off on July 19th at Denver’s Ogden Theatre, STS9 will then return to Red Rocks on July 20th before invading venues like the Pepsi Amphitheater, the Brooklyn Steel, and more.
