Jaenga is no stranger to pushing boundaries. Bursting onto the scene in 2018 with nothing but a school bus and a dream, he’s not only emerged as a master in the art of bass music but as a walking testament to what happens when you refuse to give up on your calling.
Channeling rejection into opportunity, he’s turned obstacles like not booking shows into a call to act and create his own path. Transforming a school bus into a mobile stage, he launched his career by throwing epic renegades at festivals like Electric Forest, and in doing so, started a grassroots following that propelled him to where he is today.
Now seven years later, that relentless drive fueled by a love for the underground has not only molded him into one of the most innovative minds in bass music but has laid the foundation for his debut album Dream Machine.
Released on August 8, aka 808, Dream Machine is an eleven-track journey fueled by storytelling, artistic connection, and, of course, wonky bass. Tracing Jaenga’s evolution from underground innovator to acclaimed producer, the album transforms raw experience into a compelling audio landscape that’s both powerful and electric.
Jaenga delivers a captivating journey into sound.
Immersing listeners into a dream-like realm where the bass is heavy and the beats are plenty, Jaenga wastes no time getting down to business. Opening with Bass Go Silly, he immediately pops off with a head-knockin fusion of hip-hop and bass. From there, Dream Machine unfolds like a cinematic adventure, with each track revealing a new chapter in the story.
From the gritty vibrations of Going Mental to the hypnotic yet hard-hitting drops of Losing Control and the melodic soundscapes of Safe and Sound, Jaenga not only captures his meteoric rise in bass music but delivers an experience that’s authentic, expansive, and full of emotion.
Dream Machine is a testament to Jaenga’s artistry.

Whether it’s capturing the essence of the grind on Hustle with Josh Teed or dousing you with melodic euphoria on What You Do, Dream Machine solidifies Jaenga’s place as a visionary in not just bass but electronic music as a whole. Through a genre-bending sound design and an ability to express life through sound, he channels years of lived experience into a cohesive narrative that both pushes boundaries and highlights his undeniable artistry.
“The name ‘Dream Machine’ is an ode to the school bus that changed my life. When I was 24, I decided to live a life of exploration-playing music for people and living rent-free so I could focus entirely on my art,” Jaenga explained. “I wanted a life worth looking back on when I got old. It wasn’t just a festival rig or a weekend party machine. It was also my home. My place to dream. It gave me everything I needed: a place to sleep, to eat, and to create. I spent long nights producing music and making art, wondering if I’d ever make something powerful enough to change my life.”
