Did Zeds Dead get robbed of a Grammy nomination?
The 2026 Grammy nominations are officially in, and while we’re stoked EDM is finally starting to get the recognition it deserves, we’re shocked that the name Zeds Dead is nowhere to be found.
Up for Best Dance/Electronic Album this year are Skrillex with F** U Skrillex You Think Ur Andy Warhol But Ur Not!! <3*, RÜFÜS DU SOL with Inhale / Exhale, Fred again.. with Ten Days, FKA twigs with Eusexua, and PinkPantheress with Fancy That.
The Best Dance/Electronic Recording lineup follows with Disclosure & Anderson .Paak’s No Cap, Kaytranada’s Space Invader, Skrillex’s “Voltage”, Tame Impala’s “End of Summer”, and Fred again.., Skepta, and PlaqueBoyMax’s “Victory Lap.”
Of course, we’re not taking anything away from these artists, who all delivered incredible projects. However, Zeds Dead’s Return To The Spectrum Of Intergalactic Happiness isn’t just an album; it’s an experience. It stands as a testament to not only the duo’s unmatched artistry but to the innovation driving electronic music’s evolution that too often goes unseen by the mainstream.

Arguably the best electronic album of 2025, RSIH feels like one of those albums that will define this generation of music 50 years from now. From the endless YouTube comments comparing the boys to Pink Floyd on The RSIH Movie, to their acclaimed album tour, and the rushes of nostalgia felt through each track, a Zeds Dead nomination felt like a sure thing.

The truth is, the Grammys have never been the end-all measure of great music. They’ve always leaned toward what’s safe, familiar, and easy to package, not necessarily what’s pushing the culture forward. Year after year, some of the most groundbreaking artists and projects get overlooked because they don’t fit neatly into the industry’s definition of “mainstream.” But art isn’t meant to be measured by popularity or politics. It’s meant to move people, shift perspectives, and challenge boundaries, and that’s exactly what Zeds Dead continues to do.
At the end of the day, it is the Grammys, and this isn’t the first time a true artist got snubbed. Even the revolutionary acts of the 60s and 70s didn’t always see mainstream success in real time. If anything, it affirms Zeds Dead’s legendary status. In the 70s, they took a tab and journeyed to The Dark Side Of The Moon, and in 2025, we Return To The Spectrum Of Intergalactic Happiness. Zeds Dead will continue to echo through the culture for generations to come.
