Released on Thursday, February 8, Just Breath is a soulful fusion of ethereal bass and introspective hip-hop. Joining forces with Chuuwee and Blūm Josh Teed takes listeners on a sonic soul-defining journey back to the natural self. Filled with dreamy textures, spirited instrumentation, and entrancing vocal work, the track stresses the importance of stillness and taking a second to “just breathe.”
Inspired by the whirlwind pace of Josh Teed’s last tour, the message behind Just Breathe is clear. No matter how chaotic life can be, everything you need, all the answers you’re looking for, already exist within you. “All these lessons and blessings…The sweet reprieve of answered questions. It’s all inside,” Chuuwee raps over hazy beats and atmospheric melodies.
“Just Breathe was one of my favorite tracks to work on from this upcoming EP. The combination of Chuuwee’s lyrical skills and Logan’s (Blūm) beautiful voice really make for a unique, soulful vibe in this tune,” Josh Teed explained. “This EP was about stepping out of my normal wheelhouse, and this track is the one that puts that approach on full display.”
