Full Sends, High Vibes, & Heavy Bass: Ending The Year With HiJinx

As the year winds down, there’s no better way to say goodbye to the old and welcome the new like losing yourself in the vibrant world that is HiJinx Music Festival

After spending the last weekend of 2024 immersed in its bass-heavy sounds, it became clear why the acclaimed Philadelphia fest, has garnered a reputation as bass music’s most sought-after end-of-year gathering.

From its larger-than-life production to its electric atmosphere and star-studded lineup, few events compare to the madness of HiJinx. However, what sets HiJinx apart is not just rumbling bass drops or face-melting lasers but its relentless commitment to delivering an experience that’s just as immersive as it is unforgettable.

Since 2018 the festival has transformed the Pennsylvania Convention Center into a high-octane playground filled with jaw-dropping visuals, state-of-the-art sound systems, and an energy that resonates with every bass drop.

Boasting a roster of artists known to push the boundaries of bass music, this year’s lineup included legendary names like Subtronics, Zeds Dead, and Ganja White Night on top of emerging stars Levity, ISOxo, Level Up, and more. Whether it was your 5th time full sending it to HiJinx or your first, 2024 was a year we won’t forget.

Unforgettable Sets

With this year’s incredibly stacked lineup, we were bound to experience a plethora of spectacular performances.

Night one opened up with rising artists DJ Culprit, Align, and Nikita, The Wicked who set a high precedent for the remainder of the night. Canabliss mesmerized the crowd with her unique bass-heavy sound and although Alison Wonderland couldn’t make it for the b2b, Kaskade closed out the night in a legendary fashion. Of course, the highlights of the night were none other than Levity who melted the crowd with massive edits of tracks like Chance The Rapper’s Cocco Butter Kisses and Eminem’s My Name Is, and Ganja White Night who brought the wobble like never before.

Night two then took it to another level with insane performances from start to finish. From Sippy’s heavy-hitting fusion of bass house and dubstep to A Hundred Drums‘ entrancing experimental wubs, the earth-shaking drops from Level Up, and ISOxo’s magnetizing trap beats, night two had a little bit of everything.

That being said Deathpact absolutely rocked the crowd before LSZEE transported Philly into an otherworldly realm of hypnotic bass drops and psychedelic soundscapes. Lastly, the weekend ended with a fury of heavy dubstep and nostalgia with an epic b2b between Subtronics and Zeds Dead who started their set with an ode to a Philly hero Rocky Balboa.

Next level Visuals and Production

HiJinx has always been about more than just the music, and this year’s production elevated the experience to new heights. The massive LED displays, art displays, and synchronized light shows transformed the convention center into a multi-sensory wonderland. From the tripped-out sculptures to the Jellyfish Lounge, every corner of the venue felt like stepping into another dimension.

High Vibrations

There’s truly something magical about losing yourself in the music, surrounded by thousands of like-minded friends and if there was one phrase to describe HiJinx 2024 it would be “high vibrations.” Whether it was getting together with your festival fam, meeting new homies, or just diving headfirst into the bass, HiJinx was the perfect mix of escapism, celebration, and community.
