Boasting a raw, experimental sonic palette, EAZYBAKED has garnered a reputation as two of the most visionary minds in bass music. From their heavy-hitting sound design to their unruly stage presence and electrifying performances, the Florida duo has not only created a lane of their own but has emerged as a household name within the electronic realm.

With their latest EP Respawn, the boys step outside their signature bass-heavy style, and in doing so showcase a new aspect of their artistry. Immersing listeners into a transcendent sonic landscape, the four-track EP is more than just a deeply emotional journey into sound but a testament to their boundary-pushing spirit.

EAZYBAKED joins forces with vocalist Okaykayo.

To Respawn is to recreate after death or destruction. Regardless of what happened in the past, you possess the ability to respawn into life, the ability to create something new, and blaze a new path forward. Alongside vocalist Okaykayo, EAZYBAKED dives into themes of love, hope, healing, and growth through a fusion of ethereal soundscapes, powerfully honest vocals, and moving melodies.

We intend for listeners to experience a profound emotional journey – a spectrum of hope, love, healing, growth, sorrow, joy, vulnerability, authenticity, and pure emotion,” EAZYBAKED explained.

Kicking off with the opening track, ThewayUwalk you’re immediately overtaken by feelings of peace and serenity as soothing melodies, lush atmospheres, and comforting bird chirps immerse you into a dreamlike world. Perfectly capturing the essence of the beat, Okaykayo then elevates your being with soul-stirring rhymes that speak to something deep within.

I’ve been by myself in times of change, But I know it’s okay. I watch it grow, I see them fall, This life is so strange. You can’t break me down, Just talk your shit, I can’t play these old games,” he rhymes as you’re left floating through uplifting waves of nostalgia.

Appearing once again on the third track Respawn, Okaykayo compliments EAZYBAKED’s hypnotic sound design with a compelling display of spoken word and profound vocals that leave you in a state of tranquility.

I think, in a sense, respawning mirrors the cycle of life where we encounter challenges, experience failure, and ultimately find the strength to rise again,” he recites.

EAZYBAKED joining forces with a vocalist like Okaykayo not only helped shaped the direction of the record but marked a significant milestone for the acclaimed bass duo.

This endeavor marked a significant milestone for us, our first time collaborating with a vocalist and exploring music with this level of emotional depth,” they noted. “Collaborating with Kayo is an effortless and truly inspiring experience. We openly share feedback and trust each other’s artistic vision.”

Respawn was influenced by personal experiences.

Embarking on a new sonic trajectory, EAZYBAKED found inspiration through their own experiences. From the dreamy cadence of WithoutU to the vibrant melodies of Therapy, the duo not only crafts an immersive sonic experience that speaks directly to the listener but expresses their vision in a way deeply personal and relatable.

“Our personal experiences deeply influenced the creative process. Andrew was embarking on a new chapter as a single father, establishing his own independent life. I was experiencing the exhilaration of new love and the transformative experience of leaving my hometown and family home to embrace a new beginning,” EAZYBAKED stated. “This project holds a very special place in our heart and we hope this music helps people in the same ways it helped us <3.”
