Kaskade Signals Creative Rebirth With First 2 Singles Off New Album ‘undux’

EDM legend Kaskade returns with DNCR and Imprint, the first singles from his upcoming album undux, blending emotion, energy, and melodic house roots.

Few artists have left a mark on dance music quite like Kaskade. With a career founded on innovation and a deep love for his craft, the electronic visionary became a driving force behind the explosive rise of EDM, carrying an influence that continues to ripple through generations.

Now, more than 20 years after his debut album, It’s You, It’s Me, Kaskade is stepping into a new era by going back to his roots with two massive new singles, DNCR and Imprint.

Released on Thursday, October 16, DNCR and Imprint offer fans a first glimpse into his forthcoming studio album, undux, expected this winter. Arriving as a joint release through Arkade and Monstercat, the project signals a creative rebirth for Kaskade, rooted in emotional depth, reflection, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Driven by soaring vocals and vibrant cinematic soundscapes, DNCR channels pure surrender, pulling listeners into the present where movement becomes emotion and connection becomes freedom.

“This song taps into the power of surrender – the way connection can pull you out of your own head and into the present moment. ‘You make me a dancer’ isn’t just about movement; it’s about being moved by another person’s energy. Dancing is an exercise in vulnerability and trust. It’s about rediscovering joy in the middle of struggle – being reminded that sometimes, the answer is just to let go and move,” Kaskade noted.

On the other hand, Imprint slows things down, drifting between beauty and melancholy through Courtney Storm’s introspective vocals and dreamlike nostalgia.

“These lyrics come from a place of trying to make sense of a story that doesn’t unfold the way you imagined it would. It’s about memory, perspective, and the marks people leave on our lives – sometimes permanent, sometimes like ink that fades. I’ve gone through a stretch where I’ve had to sit with a lot of change, confusion, and reflection, and this song helped me process that without having to fully define it. ‘Imprint’ is about the unfinished stories and the way we’re still asking to be understood, even when the narrative feels hard to follow. It’s both vulnerable and hopeful – it’s me saying, I’m still here, and I’m still being written,” Kaskade explained.

Together, DNCR and Imprint showcase two sides of Kaskade’s artistry, one built on movement and energy, the other steeped in reflection and emotion. Serving as the foundation for undux, they capture the balance between connection and solitude that defines this new chapter, reaffirming his ability to evolve while continuing to move both hearts and dancefloors.
