SIPPY, the Australian bass maestro has officially released her long-awaited debut album Scars In Stereo.

Released on Friday, October 17, through Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats, Scars In Stereo takes listeners bass induced trip through immersive soundscapes, empowering storytelling, and raw, unfiltered emotion, marking a striking evolution from the high-energy “Gremlin” persona that’s defined her live sets.

Scars In Stereo is a reflection of SIPPY’s journey through the music industry.

Spanning across 10 tracks, SIPPY strips back the chaos to reveal her most personal and vulnerable work yet, channeling the highs, hardships, and moments of resilience that shaped her rise in the music industry.

Opening with the spoken-word title track Scars In Stereo, the album immediately pulls listeners into the world SIPPY has fought to create, one built on honesty, grit, and growth.

Tracks like Wide Awake featuring No Me and Can’t Get Over You peel back layers of vulnerability through profound lyracism and melodic soundscapes while Like I’m High captures the dizzy tension between breakthrough and burnout with a wave sublime yet heavy hitting wubs.

FUKT UP then swings back with a rebellious demeanor as she rages against the harshness of the industry, with a dose of mellow yet deep cutting basslines. She then softens her tone on tracks like Can We Just Pretend and Home capturing themes of introspection, escapism, and a yearning for connection through psychedelic tones, dreamy atmospheres and haunting vocals.

“Scars In Stereo is a reflection of my journey through the music industry: the highs, the hardships, and everything in between. It captures the wins, but also the depression, disassociation, and misconduct I’ve faced along the way,” SIPPY explained.

SIPPY steps into a new era of sound.

As the story unfolds, SIPPY continues to blur the line between power and vulnerability, weaving her emotions into every drop and melody. Each track deepens the journey, amplifying the heart of the album while showcasing the growth that defines it. The story reaches its peak with Next Up featuring Artifice, as the innovative producer closes out the album on a powerful note, transforming every challenge, lesson, and breakthrough into an unstoppable burst of momentum.

“More than anything, this album is about resilience. It’s about standing up, pushing through, and owning my story. I wanted it to feel like a peek into my personal journal. These songs, in their original form, were written in real time (when the feelings were raw) then set aside until I was ready to be vulnerable enough to share. Now, I am.”– SIPPY

Overall, Scars In Stereo not only establishes SIPPY as an artist fully in command of her story but stands as a statement of evolution, pushing her artistry into new territory and setting the tone for what’s to come.
