Blanke is continuing his journey towards the edge of the world with a surprise release of a new EP, SKYFIRE, marking the second installment of his highly anticipated forthcoming album.
Released on Friday, May 29, PART II: SKYFIRE expands on the story first introduced through PART I: EXODUS earlier this year, while taking listeners on a cinematic journey through sound and vibrations.
Spanning across two genre-bending tracks, the EP showcases the duality of Blanke’s ever-evolving artistry. The first track, Arsenal, leans into the Denver producer’s original sound while unleashing a fury of otherworldly chaos and heavy-hitting drops of bass.
The second track, Beautiful Tragedy, then explores the melodic influences that first inspired his journey into dance music through an immersive wave of progressive house, euphoric vocals, and raw emotion.
More than just another release, SKYFIRE not only expands on his album universe but further cements Blanke as one of bass music’s most innovative producers and storytellers.
“Part II of the EP cycle, ‘Skyfire’ is another installment to my album series,” Blanke explained. “This time slightly different soundscapes but still living in the same world and still presenting the duality of the world we’re building. This is the second phase of the story, where meteors fall down onto a crumbling Earth, but bring with them something new. Something hopeful. What is meant to be destructive, is instead bringing a new light.”
