The coveted bass maestro Tape B and singer-songwriter Dani King have reunited for a powerful new single, Underneath Your Skin.
Released on July 31 through Monstercat, Underneath Your Skin marks the duo’s second official collab following the 2024 anthem Someone to Hold off Tape B’s acclaimed Distortion Theory EP.
Pairing Dani King’s ethereal vocals with atmospheric melodies and heavy-hitting dubstep, the single taps into the nostalgic sound that’s fueled Tape B’s rise while pushing his songwriting into more emotional territory.
More than three years in the making, the Florida producer repeatedly rewrote and reworked the track before bringing it to its final form, serving as a reminder to trust the creative process, embrace experimentation, and allow ideas time to breathe.
Landing after Brackish, a boundary-pushing collab with Of The Trees, and in the midst of a massive run with Levity on their Summer Program Tour, along with a two-night Red Rocks headline takeover this October, Underneath Your Skin not only highlights Tape B’s ever-evolving artistry but signals the birth of a new creative era.
