Wonksgiving is giving back to Miami!
Following last year’s Wonksgiving charity event in Austin, Texas, WonkyWilla is bringing the celebration to Midline Miami in Wynwood for Thanksgiving weekend on November 28, uniting the bass music community for an unforgettable night of music and giving back.
With support from rSUN and SLOTH, the event will benefit Care Resource’s Food For Life Network through ticket donations, merch sales, and an on-site food and clothing drive.
For every ticket sold, $1 will be donated to Food For Life Network, while 50% of Wonksgiving merch sales will benefit the organization. Attendees can also contribute by bringing food and clothing donations, with the drive running throughout the night.
Founded in Miami in 1987, Food For Life Network provides free groceries, medically tailored meals, and nutritional support to individuals and families across the county. The partnership gives attendees several ways to support that work while coming together over a shared love of bass music.
“Wonksgiving is about giving back to the community,” WonkyWilla shared. “Everyone deserves the chance to have a nice Thanksgiving meal with the people they love, which is why partnering with Food For Life feels so special. They do amazing work fighting food insecurity and providing meals and nutritional support throughout Miami-Dade, and I love that the dance floor can also be a place for giving. That’s really what being Wonky is all about.”
