Back again to attack your eardrums!
Yeah y’all, that’s right! Zeds Dead is back with a surprise release of their third studio album, Return to the Return (of the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness).
Landing Tuesday, June 30, Return to the Return arrives just before the iconic dubstep duo takes over Red Rocks Amphitheatre for Deadrocks XII, which will kick off their highly anticipated Journey Of A Lifetime Tour.
Spanning across 14 genre-bending tracks, Return to the Return not only serves as a testament to Zeds Dead’s boundary-pushing artistry, but stands as one of their most ambitious projects to date.
Return to the Return expands the world of RSIH
Diving deeper into the sonic universe of their acclaimed 2025 album Return To The Spectrum Of Intergalactic Happiness, Zeds Dead embarks on an immersive space-time odyssey where frequencies of the future collide with the sounds of the past.
Yet, rather than serving as just a sequel, Return to the Return expands on the concept of channeling distant memories through transmission, sampling, and sonic exploration.
From the interstellar soundscapes of Angel 2 to the immersive experimental wubs of Pourin Rain and the electro-punk-inspired In Your Head featuring CUT_, the album sees Zeds Dead plunge into the unknown and, in doing so, delivers yet another masterclass in building worlds through sound.
“The initial Return to the Spectrum felt like the birth of a new era for us. We hadn’t written a proper full-length project in almost ten years, and a lot had happened in that time, ups and downs, soul searching, creative experiments, COVID,” Zeds Dead shared. “We knew we wanted to throw ourselves fully into another project, but the timing had to reveal itself. When it did, it felt right. With this album, we’re continuing on the same path we started then. Returning to it, if you will.”
Zeds Dead explores the idea that sounds never truly die.
Beneath the album’s sprawling production lies the idea that no sound is ever truly lost. Every sample, melody, and vibration continues traveling through time, echoing through eternity, waiting for the right vessel to push it further into the ether.
This concept, that vibrations continue traveling through space indefinitely, waiting to be rediscovered, is the driving force behind Return to the Return. Whether flipping vintage recordings into something entirely new or weaving centuries-old compositions alongside modern bass music, Zeds Dead treats sampling less as nostalgia and more as a conversation across generations, where every sound becomes another piece of an ever-expanding transmission.
“The most important thing for us was how we approached making this record. It wasn’t about what might work best at a show or what the single was. It was 100% about letting inspiration take us wherever it wanted to go. We followed ideas because they excited us, not because they fit into any expectation of what a Zeds Dead record should be.”
Return to the Return Kicks Off The Journey Of A Lifetime Tour
While Return to the Return arrives as another milestone for Zeds Dead, its release comes just days before Deadrocks XII and the launch of the Journey Of A Lifetime Tour, the largest headlining run of the duo’s career.

Celebrating more than 15 years of Zeds Dead and 10 years of Deadbeats, the career-spanning tour brings together every era of the duo’s discography through their biggest live production to date.
After adding another bold chapter to their catalog with Return to the Return, Zeds Dead now turns the page toward a summer dedicated to celebrating everything that brought them here.
