Released today, July 24, Future Funk Radio Vol. 1 is a 52-minute mix featuring new flips, mixes, extended tracks, and solos as GRiZ unleashes a fury of funky bass intertwined with ProbCause‘s hip-hop flavor and a whole lot of soul.
From the highly sought-after flip of Subtronics‘ Gangstas to his Pretty Lights I Know The Truth Remix with Tape B, a soulful flip of Can’t You See by The Marshall Tucker Band, and the Blackstreet No Diggity Flip, GRiZ not only reaffirms he’s back on that funk sh!t but delivers a summertime bass experience that’s 100% certified fresh.
Future Funk Radio Vol. 1 arrives as another chapter in GRiZ’s ongoing comeback. Since returning from hiatus, he’s been releasing music nonstop, from Future Funk Vol. 1 and his remix of Rainbow Kitten Surprise’s It’s Called: Freefall to a steady stream of singles, flips, and mixes.
With the second edition of Seven Stars Music Festival set for October and major performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Elements Festival, Outside Lands with Subtronics, and more still ahead, the new mix continues the momentum heading into the next phase of his return.
